Description

Thought it would take me a while to get this done, but once my son saw the individual pieces, he was stunned and couldn't believe he had his own original Swamp Thing drawn for him... As he stared at Liz's colorful Wasp, it took him a bit and he looked at it sort of funny, read the caption and said "Did Mrs. Wrightson do this for me?, she's really good...".

The smile on his face was priceless... I took a picture to send to the Wrightson's to express thanks, and originally asked Zac to try and look normal, but you know... Normal can be far too overrated! I preferred the picture here which definitely portrays my son more like he is...

A bit of a ham!!!

I had thought about dressing it all up, but then asked him if he'd like it to just reflect a really BIG birthday card, and of course... He likes things a bit out of the norm too... He asked if it was a "Guinness" record, to which I replied; "most likely not, but good luck finding an envelope"...

I was able to find a nice photo of Liz and Bernie online, and incorporated it into the presentation... I originally was going to use the standard "Mr. & Mrs." title, but with Liz on the left in the photo, this just didn't work... Then I figured, if it hadn't been for her act of kindness, this wouldn't have been...

So, our "Mrs. and Mr. Liz & Bernie Wrightson Birthday card" is in a beautiful old frame, preserved, and will take a prominent spot in Zachary's room...

Very nice Joseph! I'll have to admit I never thought I would see the Swamp Thing holding a b-day cake... great stuff!

David, I was stunned when I opened the letter containing these pieces from the Wrightson's.... And the Swamp Thing with a cake and a smile, priceless!!! Bernie has a keen sense of humor... My son was really delighted to have his own Swamp Thing...
