DescriptionSuperb draughtsmanship in every panel in this dynamic page from Vicatan, aka Vicente Catan Jr - you can see the Joe Kubert influences in this, plus a dose of Russ Heath and some of the best Filipino comic book stylings I've come across! Great facial and figure work, and the textures on everything from the trees and undergrowth to the snake, the silhouette work, shadows and light - just amazing to the eye. Thanks, David - yep, the final panel is what sold this beauty to me - although in truth there's mastery in every brush-stroke - had to have this page when I saw it come up, and I've never even seen Vic's work before! Apparently he was a big fan of Kubert's and I think it really shows.
