Description

I first met Scott Hampton at one of the New York City conventions in the early 1990's. I had enjoyed his painted work on Silverheels and he was offering to paint watercolor commissions at the convention, so I signed up for one. We chatted for a bit and when I asked him what he felt like painting, he said he was interested in doing an EC themed piece. This sounded cool to me, so I gave him carte blanche to do what he wanted. He really went to town on this one and spent parts of two days working on it; the end result shown here is probably my favorite convention sketch I ever commissioned!
