Description

This is a published panel from Mad Magazine #49, September 1959 by Bob Clarke. Bob Clarke was a leader of Mad's second generation of artists. This piece was part of a satire of specialty resorts, this one for teenagers. The article overlaid the art with text like, "ALL ROOMS WITH PRIVATE JUKE BOXES". This shows a vision of adolescence peculiar to the time when rock and roll was young, juvenile delinquents wore leather jackets and Mad Magazine was at the peak of its popularity, cultural influence and quality.
