Description

I really like this piece. I had seen it in the previous owner's gallery and had commented on it before. Through random CAF wanderings I have happened upon it a few more times and always stopped to look. I am happy to have it here in person now.

I don't know if it has a title, I gave it the one I use above. The vivid colors and shapes in the background contrasting with the delicate figure in the foreground. The gestures are so feminine. It is impossible to tell what is the reason for being on the balcony. To look, to walk the ledge, to get fresh air, to jump, to fly, to step into nothing, waiting for someone... a mystery that each person solves in their own way, kind of like the smile on a much more famous painting.

I later found that this is the published cover to an Italian comic book magazine. See additional images below.

Alluring, evocative ... and so sexy! Along with an excellent technique, the drawings by Marco have often an uncommon grace and a refined elegance. Beautiful!
