DescriptionI'm almost speechless. A Frank Miller Daredevil page! When I got into this hobby a few years ago I never saw myself getting to this point. I missed out on this page twice and then surprise, my wife acquires it for me as a gift. I can't thank her enough. There is so much about this page that I absolutely love. Obviously the Miller Daredevil run is legendary both for the story and the art. This page features Punisher taking out drug traffickers which leads into the famous DD 183 drug story. The page features Punisher firing 7 kill shots across 6 panels and when the last thug tries to surrender Frank Castle's response : "This is war, I don't take prisoners." I am honored to be caretaker of this page where it will be located for a very very long time. Miller pages from this run featuring Punisher are obviously much rarer than those featuring Daredevil which is just another reason why I love this page! All I need now is to acquire a Frank Miller Wolverine page of my liking and along with a soon to be posted piece I will have my grails. Pencils by Frank Miller and beautiful inking by Klaus Janson. This piece is truly NEVER for sale. Trades involving Frank Miller Wolverine pages or John Buscema first run Avengers splashes might be considered. Social/Sharing |

I have to agree that this story arc was impressive. It is also Miller's last true, detailed pencilling work on DD as issue 184 closed until issue 191. His layouts from 185 to 190 revealed much less involvement with the Hand storyline arc and showcased more of Janson's combination work as a penciller and inker. I would like to own more pages from the 182-184 arc. I also wish my wife would surprise me like this......

She is great and I am lucky she not only tolerates my hobbies but encourages them. She doesn't totally understand the current prices on a lot of the stuff these days but is supportive nonetheless.

If she had not grabbed it I would have. Congrats!

They say you can judge a man by the company he keeps. If that's the case, then your wife -- your most important company of all -- is a woman of fine judgment and exquisite taste, which only reflects well on you. Congratulations on a great page and thanks for a great story!

What an incredible page from such a classic run. Miller at the very top of his game. You're blessed to have such a wife, friend. Both she, and this page, is a keeper.
