DescriptionThese are the finished pencils to action comics 659 Krisis of the Krimson Kryptonite. I was told they thought the image was a bit out of proportion, the only difference I can see is Superman’s leg is outside the bricks here and inside the wall on the final cover. so instead of starting over they inked the image via lightbox due to time constraints. I see nothing wrong with the pencils and believe that they are very very beautiful. It’s crazy for me to think I have a vintage triangle era Superman cover that is all pencil. Make no mistake there is an inked version out there somewhere but these pencils hold a special place in my heart because I can’t get enough Gammill Superman.Social/Sharing |

Always a great treat to see Kerry's untouched pencils, in this case, to a very fondly remembered cover. Congrats on landing this, man, it's a great get from a part of one of the best eras for Superman comics!

Great tight prelim as always with Gammill
This not a prelim. It's the final pencils. Editorial didn't like the leg position. So there was not enough time to redraw so they had Breeding lightbox inks over these pencils. So this is the final pencils. Almost like how they blueline ink things these days. I've seen the inked version almost bought it once and at the top it even says breeding after Gammill. So this is the pencilled cover.

Beautiful pencils for a truly iconic and memorable Superman cover. I miss the 'triangle era.'
