Figured this was a good time to put this up with the new Hale Show happening.
Bad Hair study from late 2008, early 2009 24x24 oil on panel. I don't have a lot of grails but this is definitely one. Been searching for a good Hale study especially of BH for a long time, and one I could afford. Not sure i should name the collector or not who let this go, I'll amend this later if need be, but you know who you are and THANK YOU. look at this baby every day. It is a big inspiration.

It always pains me to see gems like this get so little attention while other not so great art with a name get undeserving accolades. This is amazing, Phil, is such a master at painting energy, will go down in history as a master painter. Hearty congrats. This is amazing. I can only imagine how great it would be in person.
