I really like the printed color version as well. Where was this published? Did Raymond color his own work?

Tim: For the answer to this question and all other things on Raymond, I suggest that you purchase Tom Roberts' book, THE LIFE AND ART OF ALEX RAYMOND available in November 2007. Raymond did colour some of hs illustrations, but that was no guarantee that the engravers would follow his colouring instructions. For years, I thought this piece appeared in THE AMERICAN WEEKLY magazine, but Tom tells me that is incorrect. Tom is keeping the print origins of this piece to himself until the book appears as kind of an "in joke" between the two of us.
