Description

The first of two consecutive RIP KIRBY strips featuring Rip Kirby and Honey Dorian contemplating their next case while wearing swimming suits around the pool. Purchased from Steven Lee in October 2011. Be sure to check out the additional images for details of the three panels. I have also added an additional image of how John Prentice swiped the Raymond panel #1 from this strip for his own use on the strip on March 22, 1958. The distortion on the first panel of the Prentice strip is due to my copying it from my copy of the IDW volume, and being unable to get the book to lay flat near the binding.

Ray, these attractive strips in combination make for quite a score, so congratulations! The detail scans are greatly appreciated, and afford a chance to ogle the beauty of Raymond's brush work.

Big congratulations, Ray. I love these two strips. The beautiful Honey, a tragic love story in six panels, told and crafted by the great Alex Raymond. The large scans are gorgeous, but I envy you because the strips must look so much better in person. Good for you my friend.
