DescriptionQuite apart from the fabulously daft villain name, I'm a big fan of the hilariously OTT narcissistic monologue throughout - to the point where I really want to find at least one real-life opportunity to use his introductory line...'You have brushed up against GREATNESS this day...but your narrow minds could not recognize the TRUTH!'Lots of great evil exposition embellished flawlessly by the perfect pencils and sublime inks of Gibbons and Mark Farmer. What a beauty! Social/Sharing |

You!
You got there ahead of me! You b@s8@r$!
I refreshed and it went from on sale to on hold and it was YOU!
Congrats, that is one seriously unserious super-villain page and by one of the great masters no less (no pun intended).
I doff my cap and what-not.

Hi Michael and MWOOO HA HAAAA! Now I have my first chance to quote the magnificent Major and say 'You have brushed up against GREATNESS this day...but your narrow mind could not recognize the TRUTH!!'
Yep, it's definitely not easy to get in early enough to pick up these lovely Gibbons pages from Brit Comics! I doff my cap right back to a worthy rival and aficianado!
Totally agree, this page is a doozy and the fruit loop monologue lands almost as perfectly as the incredible artwork. Plus I like to squint at the page and imagine it's Rorschach in the trilby & trenchcoat. It nearly works!

Thank you, Mystery Man of Many Names! Joseph sure does put some of the best stuff out there.
I guess I get a Brucie Bonus for apparently making an arch rival out of a fellow collector for nabbing this before him (may I refer you to the first colourful comment😁) Best use of a Time Machine ever, thanks Victor!
You have some delights in your collection, too - I look forward to exploring them!

Glad to make your eyeballs happy! It's not easy picking up good comic art for a reasonable price these days, but you've picked a couple of my favourite artists there. I'm rather proud of the small collection of eclectic pages I've managed to acquire from these two legends.

Outstanding !
Thanks John! I'm a huge fan of Dave Gibbons work, right from his beginnings on 200AD - he's produced consistently incredible art for so many decades (and is a real gent to boot), one of the masters of the medium.
