When I was asked for an idea for a commission for the brilliant David Hitchcock, who specializes in pieces set in his hometown England, what else could I suggest but one of my favorite works in Comics (and all of literature): the superb V for Vendetta by the dream team of Alan Moore and David Lloyd. And what I received was an absolute masterpiece that surpassed my wildest imagination!!

This scene pays homage to when V fires his first big salvo, on the anniversary of Guy Fawkes Day, mirroring the Gunpowder Plot. Hitchcock does an amazing job of V slyly/stealthily walking away from the explosion at Parliament, and the detail is just astounding!

The idea was absolutely perfect for David and you're a genius for giving him a character he was made to draw. I will come back to see this over and over again. V Lives!

Thanks to D for linking us up on this one Fazle. I really enjoyed it, my favourite bit on this is the V shape cloak, not immediatly apparent but....
