Description

You ever know anyone who is so cool and so nice that you just wish everyone could meet them? Andy is one those guys. Probably about as nice as they come. You spend five minutes with the guy and you come away thinking that it would be just impossible for anyone to be mad at him or not like him. You know what I mean?

Anyway, Andy just dropped off this wonderful homemade �Christmas card� today. As you can see, it�s a delightful holiday themed color drawing based on the film Ratatouille (one of the many films he worked on as an animator). Of course today is New Years Day, and most of us are probably sitting at home in our sweats either eating and watching football, or browsing CAF, or something equally fun and relaxing. The point is, the last thing you would probably want to do is to get dressed, leave the comfort and safety of home, hop in the car and drive across town. But that�s exactly what Andy did. When you can put a smile on someone�s face on the first day of the new year, that is truly a priceless gift.

It means a lot that Andy considers me a friend. I just hope I can hold up my end, because he�s really kicking my ass in the �nice guy� department. I think it�s so cool when someone is blessed with a talent or skill that they can share with their friends. Unfortunately for Andy, I can�t draw, paint, sculpt, sing, dance, play an instrument, knit, cook, juggle, do magic tricks, or any other skill that I might employ to return his kindness. I think I can make a paper airplane, but it�s been a while so I�d have to check YouTube to see if they have a video for it.

Of course, what would a posting be without mention of our resident commenting machine Marcus. He was the one who made the initial introduction, so I guess Andy and I owe our friendship to him. So thanks Marcus. Thanks for your friendship, and for Andy�s friendship too. LOL! And to Andy, your kindness and generosity (as well as your creativity) never cease to amaze me my friend.

To the entire CAF community, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope that each and every one of you was able to start 2022 with a smile.

My gods that story gave me a smile! Love it when creators can make such a difference in person as well as they do through their works. Ratatoullie is one of my all time fav Pixar tales and is criminally underpraised. Congrats on this amazing original!
