Something a little different to kick off my next string of updates for the new year. A double post. The last piece of 2023 and the first piece of 2024. Since I received one of the pieces four days before the year ended, and the other piece on the first day of the new year, it just made sense to post them together. Plus the very cool fact that they were both gifts sort of bonds the two pieces together.

This wonderful color drawing was given to me by its very talented and kind creator Andy Beall. Since I�ve known Andy, I�ve gotten a wonderful drawing from him every Christmas. Not that I would ever forget, but it�s nice to have such cool reminders of how many years we�ve been friends. At this point, I should probably have a separate gallery for Andy�s generous gifts. His drawings always brings a smile to my face.

I feel especially fortunate that Andy and I live in the same town. We started going over my art collection the first time he was over at the house, but even after a few visits, we had only gotten about halfway through. While we were texting each other this past Christmas, Andy happened to mention that he had the two holiday weeks off and wondered if he could come by and look at more artwork. So two days later he came by and brought me this wonderful piece (along with some really yummy cookies). I really love the colors on this one. And of course the wonderful sentiment being expressed. Maybe it�s just me, but I think it has this sweet, warm, Dr. Seuss quality to it. Anyway, Andy stayed for about 6 hours and we were finally able to finish going through the rest of my art collection.

Let me just close by saying that, while I treasure these drawings, the only thing that means more to me than his artwork, is his friendship. Thanks Andy!

It's so coloful and festive that I would put this in a card holder and hang this as a Christmas tree ornament!
