Outstanding! I put what I thought was an aggressive bid on this one and was destroyed. The 3rd page is particularly exceptional. Congrats on a true classic!

Top Fricken Notch, Ron! This is one of the most artistically spectacular stories I've seen from Wood. Museum quality to me.

Superb. I thought this was the best piece in the last Heritage auction. What's shocking is that this story has been sold multiple times in the last 20 years alone. Shocking because to me, this story is a first class keeper. Congrats Ron!

Well, movement of this story in recent years notwithstanding, I am betting it has found it's long-term home. A truly special piece - it's hard to leave a comment just on the start of it. Wood was a unique talent - and he shows many of the reasons why in this amazing piece of work.

Ron, As I have told you privately, I believe this was the jewel of the entire auction. Amazing illustration of a truly historic event by one of comics all time great artists. You really can't do much better than this. Awesome!

Amazing. Truly a story that deserves a place in comic history both for the writing and for the art. Wood employed so many different approaches and techniques in this one story, truly a masterwork by a master.

Holy, holy crap! That is one incredible page. I've actually used this page in my drawing classes over the years, to help teach students about positive-negative drawing. I figure that any pop-culture reference can help. It's a truly fantastic page, in fact, one of Woody's very best, I believe.
