Azrael has just begun to be batman and the St. Dumas hallucinations plague him as he attempts to utilize his detective skills. In a hallucination, his father is murdered by St. Dumas. The dying hallucination of his father claimed this was not St. Dumas at all, but a demon in disguise and begs Azrael to avenge him.

He is becoming more and more frustrated by the detective work involved.

He saves a bus load of children, collateral damage in the Abattoir Arnold Etchison's quest to kill off his relatives and drink their blood.

However, much to Azrael's frustration, Abattoir escapes. Azrael decides to alter the batsuit more by making the cape itself a weapon.

This comic further shows Azrael's transition from the detective and moral batman to the vigilante and "above the law and ethics" batman. Subtly, it shows another batman that Bruce Wayne could have become.

Beautifully laid out and rendered page !! I love each and every panel of it. I really enjoyed Manley's run on BATMAN and wished it would have lasted longer. Thanks for sharing this beauty !
