Are the pencils & inks on different pages, or did Dean scan the pencils before inking?

Dean does his Black Hammer pencils on a standard-sized board (e.g. 11x14 or 14x17 inches). He scans them and prints them as bluelines on a significantly larger board that he inks. Sometimes he does various inked versions over the same bluelines.
