Description

When Felix announced the surprise drop of Beta Ray issue 1, I lost my shit. Knees weak, palms sweaty, vomit on my sweater already. Pretty much every symptom from 8 mile. All the pages I had planned to try for from issue 4 went out the window and I was dead set on getting something from issue 1. But then again, so were the other 500 people. When the clock finally struck, everything went black and I don't even know how I managed to click the buttons so fast. It was like some sort of out of body experience. I think I might have actually said 'Kaboom' after. Having crapped out on a few drops in the past, I feel insanely lucky to have gotten this amazing action page which was my first pick. Huge thanks to Felix for putting on the con, answering hundreds of emails and giving us all something to look forward to amidst such a crummy year.

That fist coming through the wall might as well have been through our wallets when Felix announced the drop. No one can resist the power of BRB, DWJ and FFF! Huge congrats on snagging an awesome page!

What a great page! I remember seeing this in a pre-release teaser and getting super jazzed about the upcoming series. DWJ did not disappoint... I know you had competition for this one --- congratulations!

This is wonderful! Not sure how I am only seeing this in your collection now. Love the description...think we all feel the same way when we see a Felix art drop we really want!

Super dynamic page with that top panel having all that DWJ goodness...and then that bottom panel....BRB getting up...turning around....what happens next??? Turn the page!

Thanks Steve! It was my top choice for those exact reasons. There are so many great DWJ pages in Beta Ray and Dead Earth that are beautiful emotional moments but since it was going to be my first (and maybe only) DWJ page, I was deadset on nabbing something with action and speedlines that DWJ is known for and this page delivered in spades. Also, for a second I read BRB as be right back and it kind of still works (him getting slammed and sliding away across the ground) haha
