Description

Gorgeous piece by Jim depicting Debra Paget as "The Princess of the Nile" from the 1950's movie. The piece was published in his art book Bettie Page Rules and includes some interesting notes about Debra and the difficulties she had performing in the film.

This was my first art purchase from Jim and I had the pleasure of making it in person at SDCC in 2012. I stopped by his booth several times to chat and discuss his art and another of his muses, the lovely Lisa Marie Scott. The piece I had looked at for much of the weekend ended up selling but Jim kindly directed me to the beauty you see before you. But not before trying to sell me on the gigantic 3x4' painting he was displaying as the banner of his booth. Unfortunately I did not have a kidney to spare to purchase it.
