Phillip, armed with the enchanted Sword of Truth and Shield of Virtue, and Maleficent breathing fire and fury in her incarnation as a dragon, meet in their final battle on the drawbridge of Stephen's castle. Signed by Earle. ---THE ART OF ANIMATION (1958) by Bob Thomas states: "Makers of the dragon sequence in "Sleeping Beauty" needed a sound to illustrate the fiery breath of the monster. What would it sound like? Probably a flame thrower, they decided. They asked the United States Army for some training films on flame throwing and indeed found the sound was precisely what they wanted." Social/Sharing |
