Description

This is the Spider-Man used to create the variant cover of Renew your Vows #4.
In the first paint Spidey was considerated too dark to be well displayed on the (small size) previews to order the variant cover of that comic book, so Marvel inquired to Gabriele to add brightness to Spider-Man costume...
I was in front of Gabriele when he received that call and this is the results: he painted a new Spidey (adding for me some gargoyles and a bit of skyline, because he knows I like very much them) that (miracles of technologies :-)) has "substituted" half part of the original art.
Acrylic on Schoeller cardboard cm 35x50 (approx. 14"x20").
Published also on artbook "The Amazing Spiderman by Gabriele Dell'Otto" - publisher: SCM, 2015
UPDATE: this art has been used as cover for the omnibus titled: Marvel Secret Work Dell'Otto (1998-2016)

Spidey by Gabe is like Supes by Ross or Bats by Lee...the definitive version of the character....incredible piece!!
