DescriptionHere is another stunning Hulk cover from the '70s!Hulk vs. the Abomination! Check out Jade Jaws locked in combat with the Abomination! Not only is this a great cover, but a great interior story as well. For added measure, we have Ole Tunderbolt Ross in the background cheering on the melee! Herb was really hitting his stride with these covers and stories. I remember receiving this in the mail with #160. Marvel used to send two comics out at the same time to save on postage. I always thought I was really cool to receive the 2nd comic before it hit the newstands! Please enjoy and share your memories! Social/Sharing |

Wow! That one does bring back memories, that of the 2nd Hulk issue I ever read at a time where, to say the least, getting original Marvel Comics in France was a long and tortuous process, so few were the available outlets and so hectic the distribution... I have a very clear souvenir of Herb Trimpe's art here, especially striking that, in this period, he made the Hulk and the Abomination, that I always saw as one of the coolest villains around (yeah... I was twelve!), built so much larger than life... Huge congrats, David!

This doesn't appear to be the version used for printing. There's lots of differences between this and the actual cover art. I was curious if this was a recreation or perhaps this was the first pass and editorial made some changes. Just wondering.
