DescriptionSo thrilled to own a 26-year old cover that features Black Costume Spidey versus one of his biggest baddies. Love the crackling energy that Sal brings to the artwork.Electro has always been one of my favorite Spidey villains, and I'm so glad he's finally being featured on the silver screen. When I bought this cover, I re-read the issue and remembered again why I love the Sal Buscema era of Spider-Man. Sal's stories were so gripping & gritty and ran the entire emotional spectrum. Like with this issue: Having been defeated by Electro, Spider-man lays down in the street and the crowd tries to unmask him. But Stan Carter appears and confronts them with a gun that, in fact, was a toy. Later in the issue, Spidey feels so guilty for having injured the Sin-eater so deeply that it leaves him disarmed & unprepared when Electro attacks him at a TV studio. Social/Sharing |

Amazing classic Spidey cover!!! Just in time for Electro's appearance in the ASM 2 movie! Sal Buscema's style is so clean and dynamic!! Congrats!!!

Paul, you have chosen one of the best Spider-Man covers from my collection! It is also one of Sal Buscema’s greatest Spidey covers from his multi-year glorious run on Spectacular Spider-Man! Your eye for great art is unquestionable; I know that you will cherish it as I did for so many years! You have a stellar collection and I’m glad it went to a great home!

Holy crap! I remember picking this comic up as a back issue in 1990! Wonderful Sal Buscema cover with a ton of nostalgia! Just in time for the ASM 2 movie! I am going through my longbox right now for this issue....

I love coming back to this cover! This has got to be one of the central pieces in your epic collection Paul. Spectacular is the right choice for this title run.
