London Film and Comic Con 2014

getting to meet Erik at London was a must and a real pleasure.

Loved the chat and watching him work. Getting a spidey was a must and i thought it would be cool with Black Cat too.

Marvelous Spider-Man and Black Cat Commission by the always interesting Erik Larsen! I love his unique take on both Spidey and his feline compatriot. Larsen's style has always been more playful than most and he shows that here in the exaggerated size of Spider-Man's hand reaching towards us. It's a fun play on perspective and highlights the whimsical element of Erik's work. I love the mischievious look on the Black Cat behind him, looking very youthful and attractive on this piece. What a great idea to ask Erik to draw characters he probably hasn't drawn in a while. I love seeing his unique take on these classic Marvel characters. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
