DescriptionI read Daredevil #47 "Brother, Take My Hand!" for the first time in Son of Origins when I was about 7 years old. I really loved that story when I was a kid, DD wasn't fighting any super villain but it really stuck with me thru the years. It is one of my favorite stories, been looking for the interiors but none have ever surfaced so I am thrilled to own the cover. It is different than the published cover, logo and DD was stated and DD was moved down, so DD's feet (OA) had to be painted over. At some time the stat was removed and here you see the original art. This isn't twice up. Social/Sharing |

Like you, I first saw this in Son of Origins and beyond the nostalgia, I think it's probably one of Colan's best covers. It's a crazy perspective and posture and he makes it work. Enjoy it.

Unlike the majority here, I bought this comic book off the stands. It is nice to see that such an important piece of artwork, noted for its high achievement, is in the hands of such a nice collector!

I'm with the group that bought this on the stands and it is one of those covers and comics that I believe stand the test of time.

Like you, I first read this comic in Son of Origins. I saw the original offered for sale in a comic art catalog back in the 90's and did not have the asking price, but I always regretted not doing something to raise the funds. It remains one of my favorite Gene Colan covers and I am glad to see it has a very good home!
