Description

Mitch Byrd is such a tremendous talent. Is there anything that he cannot breathe life into? I've been amazed by his work over the years, and thought he would produce a fantastic Kong. Mitch hit this one so far out of the park, that it now resides in a different zip code. The lush quality of his pencils fascinates me. There is such great depth to the composition. His saurians are some of the most beautiful ever realized on paper. An amazing peek into the lost world of Skull Island. Thanks Mitch, for a dream come true. Thanks also to Scott for arranging this beauty.

Mitch is just so incredibly talented. As you said Jim, there's nothing he can't render. So much subtle beauty in the pencils on this one. Congrats!

Thanks Tom. I'm amazed each time I view the piece. The lush setting, Kong's ferocity, saurians, and the desperate plight of the sailors are all captured with fantastic life. I would love to see more work from Mitch on a regular basis. Just an amazing artist. I greatly enjoyed looking through you art gallery. You are no slouch yourself!
