Ed Cartier had a long and successful career, Starting in the Pulps, he illustrated many fantastic stories. His work on The Shadow is noted. This is a magazine illustration from a 1949 Mystery. Great action.

These one panel illustrations are beautiful. The pencil and inking style is visually appealing.

All of his work on this series is very striking. Little noir masterpieces. They are full of drama and storytelling.
