Description

A grail piece for myself. I had seen the image in an auction of a Toth fanzine months previously, and was just getting ready to ask other comic art collectors if anyone had ever seen the original, when IT popped up on eBay as well. Had to wrestle with several other high-profile Toth collectors, but because I had already singled out this image as my ultimate Toth want, I wasn't going to let it go. A sexy image of a showdancer, AND Alex talking about Mucha? This piece was destined for me! It also came with multiple postcard correspondence from Toth to the original owner, which I consider the best "provenance" it could ever have. Need I say, NOT for sale!

Toth is so great, such a pleasure to see any Toth piece. You know Chris Samnee and Marcos Martin have some Toth in them as far as modern artists...Francavilla too.
