DescriptionThe Wake # 9 page 4Art by Sean Murphy Written by Scott Snyder Published by Vertigo - June 4th, 2014 I absolutely love this series and issue #9 had some of the most amazing art from Sean Murphy. I was immediately drawn to this page because of the layout and incredible amount of story it tells in a single page. And of course love the nod to issue #1 pg 4 in the bottom. Also wanted to mention great color work by Matt Hollingsworth and lettering by Jared K. Fletcher. The image was also used in ComicVine.com interview with Scott and Sean. Captured a great quote from Scott talking about some of the story and images in this page. It was great to read a CBR interview with Scott and Sean where Scott Snyder stated, "...anyone who picks this book up, #9 is easily the most fun issue, I think! [Laughs] It has the craziest stuff; basically Leeward has become the first mate of the Outlier, so she's basically a pirate captain and its her and the crew on this creature/ship having adventures all over the world as they get to the coordinates that they've set out for. This is our sea-faring adventure issue, and it could not have been more fun to write -- and Sean's art is just out of control on it." Many thanks to Jason and Sean for making this one possible!
