DescriptionGoing back around a year ago I became aware of Simone's upcoming release of the Upper Deck Marvel Masterpieces card series. Leading into NYCC last year I had attempted to purchase this piece, but my finances wouldn't let it work. Painfully, I decided not to pursue the piece.I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Simone and his wonderful sister Gloria at NYCC and spend some time with them. Seeing Simone work in person was amazing and having the personal experience was fantastic. Never to be forgotten. I also had the chance to meet Vincent Zurzolo of Metropolis Comics and Collectibles, who was showing some of Simone's art at their gallery and handling sales for him on some of the pieces. Fast forward a little more and my finances were in much better position to invest in some fine art like this and I immediately reached out to Vincent to see if this piece was available and to my great delight, and surprise it was - the very same piece I was originally chasing months before. So happy to have this in hand now. Simone's work in person is incredible and his use of green's and yellow's particularly pop for me! Social/Sharing |

An apt time to post! One of the best from the series IMO. Love the perspective choice (I'm a sucker for worm's eye) and the colors work is outstanding as per usual with Bianchi. Some many hues of green here! Congrats!

Beautiful addition to your collection . This exihibit was simply stunning . I’m in process of waiting for my Marvel Masterpiece Namor to arrive from Italy so I can totally understand the level of appreciation to get one of these gems in hand.
Congrats

Blisteringly awesome! Man, it is VERY aptly titled as a 'Marvel Masterpiece'... Serious congrats! Love the many greens, as well as the 'fog' inside Mysterio's helmet. I love your story, too, and how the piece is now at home, where it truly should be.
What is the size of thie beauty?
