Le artistiche copertine del pittore milanese Alvaro Mairani mi hanno accompagnato per un periodo meraviglioso che va dai miei dieci ai quindici anni, quando seguivo da affezionatissimo lettore i settimanali INTREPIDO ed Albi dell'Intrepido; dopodich� sono stato "travolto" da altri hobby ed ho tralasciato gli adorati fumetti , per "ritornarci" dopo i venti anni.
In questa copertina dell' INTREPIDO N� 44 dell anno 1952, il nostro artista realizza una sua "personale" versione del Principe Chiomadoro, senz'altro diversa da quella di Erio Nicol� ma sempre molto efficace.
