I missed this splash two times so when it popped up a third time, I had to do something about it.
John Buscema is still at the top of his game here, embellished by Bob McLeod's rock-solid inks.
The horse is a wonder, you could spend hours just starring at the dead tree, Conan's presence is felt unmistakably, and the collection of nightmare spirits makes for a haunting composition.
Thanks to the friendly Mike Burkey for working out a deal with me, you are simply top notch as always !

Mcleod's inks are good on anyone and a nice change for both Buscema and the barbarian from the heavy textured inks of the filipino school.

Great inks by McLeod! He fluidly polishes up the JB style to a fantasy look over a rough savage look.
