Description9x12" Ink and markerThe Maestro was at C2E2 this year (2023), and I stopped at his table at a moment when there was no line Friday. I had nothing to sign and no plans for a commission because I hadn't gotten in line 4 hours before the show floor opened. I asked how to get on his commission list, and found out that boy oh boy have his prices gone up. I filed it under "never gonna happen."

I just stood up at my desk and saluted your wife. That's a keeper. And great piece! Congrats!

Hahaha I told her you wrote that and she only seemed to regret it more.

You made the right decision. You will not regret it. You have a wonderfully understanding wife. Tell your kids that game systems break down and musical instruments generally do not keep their value, unlike Art!

Savage Rogue is such a perfect subject for Arthur. Actually surprised I don't see more of them. Love the back shoulder glance and the added dino. Congrats on pulling the trigger. I can't imagine having any regrets with a beauty like this.

When you come at the king, you best not miss. Absolutely amazing, no regrets with the target now acquired. Not a Hollywood mogul and not a venture capitalist, but you now walk with the rock star swagger.

So glad that your experience with Arthur was better than mine at C2E2 this year. I did get there early on Friday and made his list for a drawing at the show. Checked back on Saturday and Art explained that he had not started anything and mine was just not going to happen.
I was disappointed to say the least. However, it does not change my passion for Arthur Adams and he remains my favortie living artist!
Congrats on an absolute beauty of a piece. Worth every penny you spent.

Ahhh I've been there too and it's a bummer. Commissions at a show seem like a lost cause. Sorry, bud.

Oh man, Gerry, next level stuff! So much detail, love her expression, and the turning pose is PERFECT. Throw in that dino background? Winning image all around! Huge congrats!

Great piece and it's good to have a supportive wife. I got a remarque from Arthur earlier this year and about chocked up right there, I can only imagine what this cost. Congrats

You did the right move. Don't look back. It's a savage land Rogue by Art Adams after all. Awesome pick up.

You only regret the pieces you don't buy. Enjoy it for all of us!

Having never read the Rogue in the Savage Land storyline I can judge the artwork dispassionately – separated from any emotional attachment to the narrative – and pronounce it a “looker”. Some great opportunities don’t come up even once but to have had a second bite at the cherry, so to speak, means it was written. Who could resist that pouting “come hither” look? Like everyone else who has commented, I agree that regrets come from omission and not commission. The drawing is not only priceless but (and it is apt to say this seeing as it is set in a prehistoric land) timeless. Treasure it.

Great piece! I actually considered it myself at C2E2, but only for a moment when I briefly misunderstood the price.

Wow, thats stunning. Yes, his prices has gone up, but the quality is better too. Great halfboy (and not bust he has done before) and you got a fantastic background. Money well spent and this is a possible future variant cover with this quality.

Huge congrats! I saw this posted online and went to the show on Sunday just to try for this and got there too late, but nice to see it up on CAF. Absolutely beautiful Rogue with her big hair and big eyes, plus Arthur managed to squeeze in a dino in the background. I considered commissioning Arthur for a Rogue, and I'm not sure he could've topped this.
