Description

This is a high-quality stat (14x17") of the original artwork created by the Image Founders for their first ever convention appearance at the 1992 Chicago Comicon.

It was used as the cover to the convention program, and for promotional posters.

The original artwork was auctioned off at the convention to benefit the Literacy Council of Chicago and remains in a private collection.

This stat was produced by George Hagenauer, who was in charge of the Auction and Artist Room at the con, to be used as part of a poster to advertise the auction.

George kept the poster intact all these years, and just recently decided to part with it. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to own not only a fantastic one-of-a-kind reproduction of the original artwork, but a piece of Image Comics history

I have NEVER seen this! I was/am a huge fan of the image founders and thought i tracked down most everything they did over the years. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing this. I still have the poster and program that featured this art but I never attended the auction or saw the original work because I was a young teenager and had to leave early because a friend's mom was picking us up. I have fond memories associated with this art.
