Description

(2013, Mixed media on board, 7"x9.5")
This piece was part of a group show "Wild at Heart II", focusing and making aware of the plight of many endangered species, in this case the Necrophagous Carrion Beetle. Feel very lucky to have this piece as it's one of my favourites by Joao, it's full of incredible and subtle macabre detail, absolutely love it. The mixed media layering technique he applies also creates the most amazing textures.
