Description

This Prime cover art is a great example of George Perez' work from the 1990s, with Rogue Prime being engulfed by a horde of zombies. With his decades-long contributions to titles like New Teen Titans, Avengers, Crisis on Infinite Earths, Infinity Gauntlet, and dozens of others, Perez is one of the most significant and respected creators of the 1970s and beyond. This art has an image area of approximately 10" x 15".

I greatly appreciate Perez' detailed work, especially the display of true fear in Prime's face and eyes - and the zombies are awesome too, it must have taken ages to draw all that hair! I do not recall having seen a more detailed cover done by Perez (even a single hair may cast its own shadow!). The zombies symbolize drug addicts, and I believe Perez put a great and very personal effort into the art trying to communicate a clear warning about the horrors of drug abuse.

Also I think that this cover is the closest I'll ever come to owning a Walking Dead cover by Perez ;-) And it's signed by Perez!

Thank you, also for your kind Daredevil comment! Yes, if I had not won the Daredevil #327 splash maybe I would not have bid on this piece, combined FedEx shipping makes all the difference! :-) - I really like the zombies and Perez' great art, and I am looking forward to get this piece framed (although I am not sure about my wife's reaction to these flesh eating zombies, *dry cough* :-)

Really nice cover. I have a big soft sport for the Ultraverse, especially anything Perez or Breyfogle did. Congrats.
