DescriptionThis is the page immediately preceding the double-page spread that's also in my collection. The first panel is a stat of a photographed cityscape, and there's some damage to the upper right side of the page. I like the 12-panel grid, though, and the glimpse of some quiet moments in Clark and Lois's life together.Acquired in a trade (with the double-page spread) a few years ago. Social/Sharing |

Fantastic use of the grid and a great example from the SUPERMAN BLUE era (which artwise was quite good) !

The tape and rough shape of the stat at the top of the page have always marred my appreciation of this page, but your comment is on the mark. Immonen's use of the 16-panel grid (turned into a 13-panel grid) is a great example of a tried and true comics storytelling method.
