Vol. 17 Something To Fear, August 15, 2012

The Walking Dead was the juggernaut that started off my interest in OA, although my actual first purchases were from Knightfall.

I wanted to put together a full run of the books but was too late to realistically be able to afford it. Spending thousands of dollars on the early issues seemed out of reach but owning an original piece (or four) of it made much more sense to me. It also cost a hell of a lot less at the time.

The fact that the pages are unique and can be an expression of individuality as much as they are something to own, hold and enjoy was really what got me going (and possibly what plenty of you also love about this hobby). Tried and failed for two of the early pages just before I got this one, squeezed out in the final seconds. Happy to own a smaller part of it because there are plenty of other titles that get my interest.
