I really lucked out with this commission. This is Daisy Mae and Moonbeam McSwine of the Li'l Abner comic strip, getting surprised by Abner himself, climbing to their window. Mitch has a real feel for these characters having often gone to the now-defunct Dogpatch theme park which featured all three of them in human form. The depictions of all three, especially the girls, is both very true to the originals and better than Al Capp's. They have a sweetness to them that is alluring. Al Capp never produced a home as complete as this. Mitch also designed some cool lingerie.

Mitch has cut no corners here. This reminds me of the panels of Mad Magazine in its heyday, when you had to spend a lot of time looking them over to get the whole picture because they were so full of gags. Pictures on the wall are kind of a trademark for Mitch. If you don't recognize the man in the middle picture between the two babes, that's me in my steam punk outfit, totally his idea. Abner is getting an awfully nice view. Those handcuffs are a surprise. The pig is part of Moonbeam's persona. I was told that she spend so much time wallowing with the pigs that men avoided her because of the smell. I thought that was ridiculous. No smell could possibly keep me from a woman like that and I was only ten years old!

I presume with you as Abner. Sounds lovely, not so sure about the handcuffs though.
