DescriptionA gorgeous FF cover by the amazing Felipe Massafera!!This one is even more stunning in person! And HUGE! 17 x 22! In fact, I actually briefly posted this one last night, but I didn't like the scan that I had. Mainly because it was too small a file to be enlargeable (and Ruben would never let me hear the end of THAT). So I went home today to take a proper iPhone pic to really capture its brilliance. Less than two months to go before Fantastic Four: First Steps hits the theaters! And I may actually go to the theater for this one! I have become wary of the whole theater experience in my older age. Why are other theater goers so inconsiderate! That's a story for another day. Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

Felipe knocked this one out the park, Paul. Great painting!

Wow that is absolutely gorgeous!! Congrats Paul! I may need sunglasses to safely view the FIRE that is the colors on this cover, haha. And I was wondering why it said you posted yesterday and then I didn't see any new posted art. This picture is at least better than a low rez scan. Enjoy the FF movie if you do end up going to the theater, go earlier in the day during a week day or something if you want to avoid the masses!

Yeah I confused several people by removing the post last night. I was excited to post it, but I just couldn't keep the low rez scan up there. This one needs to be enlargeable! And yeah, I will definitely go to the earliest matinee of the FF movie I can, to avoid the masses. Thanks for the comment!

A great homage to the classic FF48! All the Kirby power, a retro 60's look, the photorealism, and the bright color hues that make everything larger than life!

Hoe DARE you go home and only take an iPhone pic instead of scanning it in parts and stitching it together! 🤣
This may be the first time I ever say that my favourite part of an FF cover are the images of Reed and Sue rather than Ben and Johnny! The surfer seems to be hitting the gym 7 days per week. He must want to make sure he beats The Thing decisively the next time they tussle. Really cool cover!
Nice to hear someone besides me finally admit they can no longer stand going to the theatre. Of course, I've hated it since the 90's, but still. Oh, and do NOT make me go on a rant about the upcoming FF movie!

What a beautiful explosion of colour! And I agree Reed and Sue are the stars.
I agree about other theatregoers but I plan to see the new movie on the big screen ASAP. 'Thunderbolts* ' was worthwhile That way

Once upon a time, there were three little friends who went to the Space Academy; and they were each assigned 'very hazardous' duties.
But I took them away from all that, and now they work for me. My name is Reed.

Wow! This is one of the more impressive paintings of his that I've seen. Really digging the color choices, style & composition. And that extra width probably lets each third shine a bit more than on a smaller canvas. Congrats.

Massafera's work is sharp! You can see his love for both Jack Kirby and Alex Ross in this great cover

Alex Ross, watch out :) So many characters composed and colored in a great way by Felipe. LOVE the sheen rendering on the Surfer. Congrats!
