Tonight I am posting two pieces I received in the mail today from a super great friend.

It's an interesting pair in that they are quite different in artistic style (plus one being pencils/inks and the other being just pencils), but similar in that they both feature a team of characters in battle readiness.

Here we have Cap, Iron Man, Wolverine, Bucky and even SPIDER-MAN facing off against some unseen enemy, with Cap's shield practically flying off the page at you.

One cool thing about this particular "pencils only" cover is that there isn't another "inked version" out there somewhere. As you can see, the pencils are super tight, and that was done with absolute purpose, because the plan all along was for Marvel to ask Eaglesham to pencil super tightly, specifically so they could skip the inking and go straight to colors. The published comic book was shot directly from a scan of these pencils, so it really is "the published cover, exactly as it appears". There are no "blueline inks" out there, nor any "digitally inked" file on anyone's hard drive.

I have also included a pic of the colorized poster of the piece, which is signed by Dale Eaglesham himself! (Thank you, Ruben, for including that!)

I typically always prefer a piece have inks on it, but this one is really well done in just pencil! Congrats!

Some TIGHT pencils here! Really like the Cap and Wolvie. And the shield coming right at you adds a 3 dimensional dramatic effect! Eaglesham, like Di Vito, are mean customers (in a good way!) with the pencil! Congrats!

Mystery villain is actually Red Skull. He had such beautiful flowing hair till the Nair/shampoo mixup of 42.
