DescriptionIt's Red Ross vs the Jade Genius!I loved Bagley's run on Hulk. And I absolutely love these knock-down-drag-out mano a mano kinds of cover images. After Bruce Banner was shot in the head, Tony Stark implanted the Extremis virus into his brain, unleashing a new Hulk persona called "Doc Green," where Hulk was in control of the body AND had Bruce's intellect. His mission was to de-power every gamma mutate on Earth with his "cure." All those extra Hulks running around were apparently harshing his buzz. After tackling the likes of his own son Skaar, Red She-Hulk and Lyra, it was time to face his ultimate demon, the RED HULK! Which led to some great battle issues, including this one. Hey, it sounds like you ended up reading this series. Did you? Only 15 issues but I thought it was really good! And who DOESN'T love a good battle cover with two titanic heavyweights going at it? Awesomesauce!

I was reading comics mags, late one night
When my eyes beheld a Bagley sight
For my monster all his smarts began to rise
And Hennessey to my surprise
(Hulk did the Smash) Red did the Monster Mash
(Ross Monster Mash) It was an artwork smash
(Hulk did the Smash) He fought Doc in a flash
(Green did the mash) Drew inked the cover clash
From my cover's glory in the battle beasts
To the Lyra, She-Hulk, where the Gamma's feast
The Skaar then came from war, battle of Hulks
To get a jolt from my Marvel shows

YEAH!! This is one book that will -not- be sitting on a shelf for long... LOVE the Bagley / Hennessy combo; Bagley with that visceral gut punch of beautiful, explosive, balletic action, and Hennessy sweating "the small stuff" and adding such rich detail in his fine linework. Another awesome score, Paul! Congrats!
