DescriptionI have become a big fan of artist extraordinaire Chad Hardin. And this cover totally tickled my fancy when I saw it, so I had to grab it. It's the debut of SPOOKY-MAN!! He is so cool looking!! "Harken friends to this tale, not for the wary, where Spider High shares the grounds of a cemetery, but much stranger is the new student in town, a gloomy boy with a permanent frown. A quiet boy, who never fit in, dear reader, with a secret crush on the red-haired cheerleader. Unknown to him, he breathes his last breaths, for his path of life will soon fill with deaths." —The Spooky-Man Social/Sharing |

Just fascinated by this piece and this guy's style. Not sure what that spider thing is, but it's probably my least favorite part of the piece. LOVE the kids at the bottom, and the linework on all the clouds and that building in the background is fantastic! Will have to look into this guy's work some.

I'm with you. There's something about Hardin's artistic style that really gets my motor running. And that spider thing is ... Spooky-Man!!

Right out of legend like the Headless Horseman! You wonder how Hardin can do this small and thin line illustration style like this came from New England book drawings.

First appearance!! Incredible piece. Couldn't agree more with your opinion on Mr. Hardin. Absolutely loved his work on Harley Quinn. Terrific addition to your collection. Huge congrats!!

Hey, this is pretty cool looking. Wha I love best is that the art style makes me think back immediately to the Locke & Key series! Super fun!

I really like his cartoony style here! Does it have a Joe Mad look?

There's so much "character" in his characters. I really love this art. Hardin is definitely on my radar now!

I thought this was Carnage initially, but in my defense, Carnage IS spooky. The Spooky-Man rendering looks cool but I like the kid faces on the bottom just as much, particularly the worried dude. Not glad that he's worried, just that the rendering of his worriedness looks cool. You get it, right?! In any case, congrats!

I totally get it. Hardin is great with the expressive faces. And Spooky-Man does bear a resemblance to Spooky Carnage for sure. Thanks for all the great comments as always!
