DescriptionOh man, this is such a grail for me. I have always loved the character White Rabbit. My introduction to her was in Spectacular Spider-Man #256 in 1998. And when Humberto Ramos relaunched Amazing Spider-Man v3 #1, he drew a lovely White Rabbit as the leader of the gang that faced the now very much alive Peter Parker (after the whole Doc Ock Superior Spider-Man thang). Humberto clearly loves the White Rabbit, as he included her in many of his story lines.Anyway, here she is on her very 1st appearance birth page in Marvel Team-Up #131 by the great artistic team of Gammill and Esposito. Special thanks to P A for this one! Social/Sharing |

This one was tough to let go of, but I know that you are a huge White Rabbit fan so it couldn't have found a better home. Congrats!

Great off beat issue team up that made you wonder if they did Assistant Editor's Month before 1984 and just didn't tell us. 1983 was a great year for Marvel with both serious and fun Spidey storylines amongst his multiple titles.

Ok. That's it. Shut the doors. Pull the curtains. Turn off the lights. CAF is closed. Shut it down Bill, shut it down. It can't get better than this. Good chatting to everyone. You will be missed.

That's funny. When I got this piece, I thought to myself, it really doesn't get much better than this. Maybe with the acquisition of this gem I can stop the collecting craziness and constant financial instability and make this be my last acquisition? Maybe? Please? But turns out the addiction is much too strong, and I probably waited about ten minutes before buying something else. Sigh. I need help... and therapy. Thank goodness I have this White Rabbit splash to ease my occasional distress. And the wonderful CAF community too, so let's not shut the doors just yet. :-)

Nice! Early career Gammill art, even if only breakdowns, and he happens to have illustrated the first appearanc of thaat cute bunny girl Marvel came up with, which you later got some cool art of from Ramos, as you mentioned. Owning this piece, your own infatuation with Cute Bunny Girl has now come full circle! But what's up with the lazy ass photo? SCAN IT, NOW!

Haha, cute bunny girl. That always makes me chuckle. I actually find that sometimes my scanner makes these nice vintage pieces look a little too "new," and the iphone pic brings out the darkness of the inks better. And actually, it takes a lot less effort to scan a piece than to take the iphone pic, as the lighting has to be just right, and centering the darn thing in the camera's viewfinder can be frustratingly difficult. But to appease you, I will take a scan of the piece the next chance I get, and I'll include it as an additional image. :-)

First of all, you'd be appeasing the art gods, not me. Second of all, make sure it's the MAIN image. The gods have spoken!

I love the significance of this page and feel the image is very strong for a first appearance.

I wonder if you can get one of those Kwikee Burger hats on eBay. I'll have to go check that out.
Great page by a great pair of artists. I'm ashamed to say I've never heard of White Rabbit or Frog-Man. Gotta check eBay for this book as well.

Ooh you're in for a treat with Marvel Team-Up 131! Frog-Man is hilarious. Spectacular Spider-Man 256 is a really fun White Rabbit feature issue. And she's playing a fairly significant role in the current Gang War story in Amazing Spider-Man. Thanks for the comment!
