DescriptionOkay so, a few years back I was lucky enough to be able to pick up this wonderful cover, and it gives me a chuckle every time I look at the baby versions of my favorite Marvel characters.But amazingly, it wasn't until last night that I actually read the comic. (I'm a recent subscriber to Marvel Unlimited, which, let's face it, "kid in a candy store = me") Oh my gosh, it was so hilarious! The story begins when baby Cap discovers that his Bucky Bear is missing. He hears a "ting" on his window, and when he looks across the way to the next house over, there is Cyclops holding up the stuffed animal and smiling insidiously. Oh, it is SO on! "Baby Avengers Assemble!" I have included some pics of interior pages. My favorite page is where the Avengers are getting suited up (look at how happy Thor is!!). The last two panels just FLOORED me! I couldn't stop laughing. Then there was a marvelous double page splash of Baby Battle Mayhem. (Does anyone know where the original art is for this issue? I would love to know.) At one point, baby Wolverine gets shot up into space, where he beholds baby Galactus. Wolvie's reaction is perfect: "That's just ... weird." Oh, and one of my other favorite panels is where baby Storm and baby Panther are holding hands (so cute!) only to have their romantic moment spoiled by the appearance of baby Daredevil. Okay, I've gone on long enough. Please find some way to read this issue, if you haven't already. Social/Sharing |
