DescriptionThis cover caught my eye on eBay a few years back. I loved the crazy detail and how so many robots were featured. I managed to win it, and when I opened it up, it turned out to be one of those pieces whose 'cool factor' goes up exponentially when you hold the real deal in your hands. It's quite impressive how Andrew Griffith drew the art image past all of the blue borders, from top to bottom and from left edge to right edge.It quickly became one of my collection favorites. This cover was drawn for the trade paperback that collects IDW's Transformers: Robots In Disguise #12-16. Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

I love it when your get the art and it turns out to be way better than the scan. It just adds that extra WOW to the art.

"....drew the art image past all of the blue borders, from top to bottom and from left edge to right edge."
You can shorten that easily just by saying,
"....drew the art full bleed."
Just droppin' some knowledge. You're welcome! 😄

I do know that terminology--it just sounds kinda morbid to me. Full bleed. Fun fact: That was the original title for the vampiric TV series "True Blood." 😝

NICE! Droppin' some knowledge right back at me, and in this case, I did NOT know that! Score 1-0 for Paul!

If they would have drawn them like this back in the Marvel days, I would have been on board for whatever stories and toys they wanted to sell.

I heard you like robots, so I put some robots in your robots. You know, when Megatron is smiling, you really should run. So much Transformers goodness here! And with Bumblebee fighting front and center, as he does. The artist was clearly as excited about the image as you, Paul, drawing the art Full Bleed (Thanks for the knowledge, Rubén, but it sounds like the title for the LAST last Rambo film). Great cover score. Congrats!

Youre absolutely right on about the feeling when holding one of these in hand !!! Ive got a DPS of his from a few years back in my Micronauts / Transformers gallery that makes me feel the same way.

Man, look at all the exactness in the line work - whew! Gotta image that took some real time, all benefitting you, Paul :) And when it comes to Transformers art, it's hard top an image of Megatron front-and-center! Congrats!

Aw, Megatron looks so cute when he's happy! Why can't he be happy all the time? This is a stunner. Packed full of great art! Huge congrats!
