This blew the pants off ol' Benji. These were right after Marvels and they struck with the same package to highlight different painters in that prestige format.

Ricardo Villagrán was a goodd inker when I first noticed his work on Evangeline, back in the early to mid 80's. He did some solid work throughout that decade but it still surprised me to see that he was handed the task of fully painting this book, as I never knew he could paint! Very cool page with great content, too, natch!

I remember thinking when Marvel put out a few painted one-shots and minis in the wake of the success of "Marvels" that they were just a cash grab, but most of them were actually quite good, with this one being my favorite of the bunch. This is a fabulous page!
