DescriptionFred Friday will be postponed until tomorrow night, so I can bring you this very special ...OAX2025 pickup!! Dormammu is one of my favorite villains, especially in the classic '60s and '70s story lines with him facing off against Doctor Strange. So to be able to find a vintage page where he and Doctor Strange are battling in every panel (by an amazing artistic team) is a major collecting accomplishment for me. Yaayy, happy days!! Thanks, Anthony Snyder! This page goes really well with a 1975 Doctor Stange cover I picked up years ago. Please take a look!: Doctor Strange 9 cover Social/Sharing |

When you stepped into the halls of OAX, was the first thing you said,
"I've come to bargain!" ?

I never seem to find bargains ... does anyone find them in this hobby anymore? But I don't mind as long as i can find pieces of art that I love, like this one :-)

Dormammu doubles down on the dastardly Dr. Strange! Thats what I imagine Stan Lee saying to this page somewhere someplace in heaven.
Speaking of OA heaven, the light shone down on many collectors in Orlando, FL last weekend and Spiderversity's Dean of Enrollment Paul P made this tremendous acquisition!
Alright back to non-narrator Kavi for sec...it was a pleasure meeting you at OAX Paul, one of the highlights of the show for me for sure, and this page was even more impressive to behold in person. The "scan not doing it justice" has never felt more real after seeing many of the art pieces in person that are showing up on CAF this week. Congrats!

Great comment! That is definitely the way Stan Lee is describing the page from his lofty perch.
Meeting you at OAX was a highlight for me too, Kavi! Wish we lived in the same city so we could pal around 😊

Back and forth they go! This may be an early Defenders issue, but it's a great battle amongst astral plane titans! The style is still a holdover from the Marvel Silver Age packed with action from all camera angles!

While I'm bummed at the postponement of Fred Friday, I will forgive you this once because this page is so damn cool. The second unofficial appearance of The Defenders was in the pages of Marvel Feature #1 & 2. Being as how they are my favorite super team, you're making me all kinds of jealous with this awesome page. Even though there's no Hulk and Subby, it's still a killer action page with Doc and his arch nemesis Dormammu. Even if this was the only thing you brought home from OAX, it still would have been a super successful outing. Congrats and enjoy!

A fantastic battle page from this issue and a perfect compliment to the Dr Strange #9 cover you own!

Can't beat it as far as a classic hero vs arch nemesis page! I'm jelly o' this one, man, top to bottom vintage goodness from Andru and Buscema. Congrats!
