What can I say - what a stunning pencilled piece from the master George Perez from his prime.

Originally published as the centerfold in the Perez Accent on the First E book, this piece is huge, on a single board measuring 18"x24". Everyone who has been an Avengers as of that date is included, even honorary members such as Hellcat and Moondragon.

Although not dated, this would have been drawn probably in 1977, right around the time of Avengers 161-167 (as you can tell from the costume worn by Wonder Man). For me, that's the heyday for Perez, as I was receiving these issues in the mail each month thanks to the Marvel subscription program.

The coloring for Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Vision and Black Knight was done by George and looks amazing in person (the photo doesn't do this piece justice).

Anyway, over the moon to be able to add such a classic Perez Avengers piece to my collection

So love this on so many levels. Great add Michael!! Crazy thought- get a blue line ink and finished the colors. So very cool!

This is a fantastic and unique piece! Was the coloring done with watercolor, pencil or magic marker? That's an extra nice touch that George did it!

No way, I was just flipping through Accent on the First 'E' recently, pausing as you do on the center spread, wondering about it—so amazing, and those colors look tops, huge congrats!!
