DescriptionDo a Powerbomb: CobrasunBy Daniel Warren Johnson Even with my high expectations Do a Powerbomb exceeded them, clearing the top rope with ease. The world building Daniel established is fantastic. I have not watched prowrestling in decades, but he captures the drama and excitement that made me a fan and makes me want to check back in with it. As I reached the final page of issue two, I was genuinely shocked and let out a literal and audible gasp. The reveal of Cobrasun was a surprise in the best way, one that shocks you but makes complete and total sense. It has been a long time since a comic evoked such a strong reaction, it reminded me of the power of this medium. Daniel’s evolution as a comic creator and artist continues to elevate with each project. Every page has such dynamic, kinetic, storytelling that never forgets its heart. What he accomplished with Extremity was incredible. His story of a wounded artist trying to survive as she slowly compromises her soul to violence, war, and revenge was a masterful debut. Murder Falcon was full of such energy, power, and heart and is simply wonderful. Wonder Woman: Dead Earth and Beta Ray Bill were terrific and his story in Superman Red and Blue is one of my all-time favorite Superman stories ever, in the same echelon as All-Star Superman, For All Seasons and Birthright. He has an incredible gift of synthesizing his passions and creating something unique and very special. At NYCC 2022 I got onto a his signing sketch list, I asked for Cobrasun with his masked damaged. Daniel as always delivered a wonderful sketch. Social/Sharing |

Love It! Fantastic cobrasun sketch! The broken mask close up was a great choice! Can't wait to get my grubby little hands on 6th and 7th issues!
